The meetings with Josan invite you to approach spirituality not only through thought, but through lived experience.
At their heart is the question of what a human being truly is, beyond the ideas we have about ourselves.
For Josan, spirituality does not mean escaping ordinary life. It begins in the midst of it—in a willingness to notice, become still, question and truly meet our own experience.
A sense of human closeness goes hand in hand with a certain commitment: consciousness, self-inquiry and awakening are not just interesting ideas or a spiritual pastime. They only take on meaning where they are actually lived.
Josan likes to express this in a simple thought:
All the signposts are of no use if we do not follow them.
Spirituality begins to come alive when understanding becomes our own experience. Not at some future time or in another place, but here—in the life we are living now.
From this perspective, what we seek is not outside ourselves. It is a matter of discovering the reality already present in our own being—and not only understanding it, but living it.
